Isa sales for January were down around 40% on the same period last year, providing hard proof to growing anecdotal evidence of a massive Isa slump. Gross Isa sales fell to £380m compared to £637m in January 2001, a figure which itself was down on January 2000, according to the latest IMA investment fund statistics. The £380m gross sales were, however, a 14% rise on the £333m gross sales in December.
