Groups vie for closed-end accolades

Aberdeen, BFS, Fidelity, Gartmore and JP Morgan fleming all have three trusts nominated for the investment week investment trust awards

Single country investment trusts will feature in their own category in this year's Investment Week Investment Trust of the Year awards for the first time. Meanwhile, Aberdeen, BFS, Fidelity, Gartmore and JP Morgan Fleming are the groups with the most closed-end funds nominated for awards. Each group has three trusts nominated, while Foreign & Colonial, Genesis and Invesco Perpetual have two apiece on the shortlists. Questionnaires have now been sent to the nominees and the winners will be revealed at a black-tie evening event at the Savoy Hotel in London on 23 November. The judging panel...
