Baillie Gifford was named group of the year at the Investment Week Fund Manager of the Year awards held last week at the Royal Albert Hall. Fidelity's Anthony Bolton featured prominently again. Having won in the past for his management of Fidelity European and Fidelity Special Situations, this year the judges chose to recognise him for outstanding achievement in fund management in the face of competition from Bill Mott of Credit Suisse and Angus Tulloch of First State.
