Britannic Asset Management has appointed Russell Oxley as an investment manager on its fixed interest team and lead manager of the £2.6bn gilts portfolio. His appointment brings Britannic's fixed interest team to nine. Oxley joins Britannic from Swiss Re, where he was a fixed income fund manager and was jointly responsible for the management of fixed income portfolios with a market value of over £2.8bn. The group recently lost David Roberts, manager of the UK Corporate Bond fund, who is to join Aegon. Britannic is still seeking a replacement for Roberts.
