Gordon Brown's Budget announcement that the Isa investment limits will not now be reduced for 2000/2001 was as unexpected as it was welcome. Except, perhaps, for those who had already prepared all their new literature. The extended ability to invest up to £7,000 is valuable but many investors may not realise that, if they are not careful, they will not be able to invest their full allowance.
