Justin Modray has left Bestinvest after becoming increasingly unhappy with the group's direction. Modray, who joined the firm from AWD Chase De Vere in 2002, resigned on 31 August, the same day as the group's sale to 3i was completed. The former head of communications is thought to have disagreed with changes that developed under Andrew Barnes, who joined as chief executive officer last November.
