Premier Asset Management has acquired two Solus gilt funds from Brown Shipley for former BFS managers Paul Smith and John Holder to run. Both managers joined the group last month following its purchase of BFS Investments. They currently run BFS' investment trusts but Premier is to move them into the open-ended market as a means of diversifying the boutique away from being a pure equity house.
