National Savings & Investments has increased the interest rates it offers on its fixed-rate products, following an increase in gilt yields. Among products with increased interest rates are Fixed Interest Savings Certificates and Index-linked Savings Certificates, an investment that provides tax-free returns that outstrip inflation. The rate boosts will see a 0.30% increase on Pensioners Guaranteed Income Bonds, up to 0.25% rises on its Index Linked Savings Certificates, Fixed Rate Savings Bonds and Children's Bonus Bond plus up to 0.15% increases on Fixed Interest Savings Certificates.
