Framlington is to open its Managed Balanced pension fund to retail investors on 1 February, as first reported in Investment Week in November. The fund, run by the group's financials manager Richard Peirson since launch in 1992, is designed to offer a smoothed return over the long-term through a mix of global equities and bonds. Peirson has overall responsibility for asset allocation and manages UK equities and bonds within the portfolio.
