aberdeen, gartmore and fidelity among groups in investment week's initial selection

Closed-end funds from Aberdeen, Fidelity, Gartmore, Invesco and Thames River are among those short-listed for Investment Week's forthcoming Investment Trust of the Year awards. The judging panel, which includes fund of investment trust manager Nick Greenwood of Iimia and industry consultant Peter Metcalfe, has put together short-lists in 10 categories (see table) including the Group of the Year award.
