Close Finsbury is to add a UK gilt fund to its range before the end of the year. As with its existing eight funds, it will be Dublin-domiciled and management will be outsourced to a boutique operation. Nigel Barnes, director at Close Finsbury, said the group intends to concentrate on marketing its UK Equity fund over the next few months. The fund, run by James Barstow of Mars Asset Management, currently has just £3.6m in assets. Close Finsbury will target the top end discretionary market, including multi-managers.
