UK All Companies popular with intermediaries while Japan sees net outflows
According to the latest investment fund statistics from Autif, net retail sales of unit trusts and Oeics declined from £1.2bn in July 2000 to £505m in July 2001, a 59% decrease. Net Isa sales fell 32% over the same time period from £643.2m to £437.9m but net institutional sales increased 77% from £659m to £1.17bn. Clare Arber, marketing manager at Autif, said: 'Sales of investment funds tend to slow down over the summer months but this year is quieter than usual.
