Jupiter is taking a far more bullish stance on equities than Newton, Credit Suisse or Gartmore in Standard & Poor's latest survey of UK balanced funds. While John Chatfeild-Roberts, fund of funds (Fof) manager of the Jupiter Merlin Income Portfolio is maintaining his equity exposure at close to the 60% maximum permitted, others, such as Jonathan Bell at Newton and Fof manager Gary Potter at Credit Suisse, are adopting a more defensive stance.
