Standard Ethical Bond fund withstands some tough early months via its long duration position

Launched in November 2005, the Standard Life Ethical Corporate Bond fund has had a difficult market and strict investment criteria to contend with in its early months. That said, however, performance figures are promising and manager Alasdair MacLean is optimistic more opportunities will open up as the fund matures. "The fund has performed creditably relative to the benchmark in the past six months and we are pleased with its early progress," MacLean said.
