The bond sectors recorded £1.2bn of the £1.4bn net retail sales in January this year, according to the IMA. In the latest figures released by the trade body, the sterling Corporate Bond sector saw the largest net inflow of just over £1bn, while Global Bonds and Strategic Bonds posted £228m and £177m respectively. The strength of the bond sector looks to have been to the detriment of equities, which saw total outflows of £202m in January.
