Standard Life Investment's UK Equity High Income fund manager Karen Robertson appears to have won the contract to manage the Deutsche Equity Income trust, following a battle for the mandate from groups including Invesco Perpeutal and Jupiter. Standard Life Investments is known to have tendered for the contract but it would not comment on having won the business. Robertson's £83m Equity High Income trust is ranked sixth of 31 funds in the UK Equity Income sector over three years, on a bid to bid basis after returning 69.8%, compared to the sector average of 54%, according to S&P.
