Retail investors have been favouring UK equities over the summer but overall flows into unit trusts and Oeics remain low. Investment funds under management in July fell 2% from the previous month according to the latest IMA statistics but remain 10% higher than the same month last year. Net sales of Isas have also dropped 36% over the previous month to £353.3m But while the most popular sector in July was UK All Companies, attracting £580m or 26% of the market, it also suffered from considerable outflows with net sales reaching only £46m.
