Gartmore is to offer two high alpha funds of funds (Fofs) as part of a suite of four multi-manager portfolios, to be run by Bambos Hambi, former head of multi-manager at Insight. Launching on 1 October 2004, the suite includes the UK High Alpha Fof, which will invest solely in UK funds run on a concentrated basis, such as Richard Buxton's UK Alpha Plus and John Wood's Newton UK Opportunities. Also included is the Global High Alpha Fof, which will invest solely in global concentrated portfolios. Brenda Reed's Fidelity Global Focus is likely to be one such option.
