New Star has confirmed to Investment Week it is in discussions to purchase a number of Aberdeen's retail investment funds. While no deal has yet been signed between the two groups, Investment Week understands New Star is interested in several of Aberdeen's UK and fixed interest portfolios. Aberdeen runs three UK All Companies funds, UK Blue Chip, UK Growth and UK Mid Cap, and within its bond offering are the Fixed Interest, Sterling Bond, Gilt Income and High Yield Bond funds.
