Norwich Union's decision to outsource Lifetime's administration to Scottish Friendly has forced the group to write down £84m. Lifetime managing director Toby Strauss said bringing in a third-party administrator was the quickest way to offer a strong enough customer experience. He is aiming to be taking new business by the beginning of Q2 2009 and is asking customers to be patient during the changeover. "We are aiming for straight after the tax year," he added.
