HSBC and Lehman Brothers have both tapped into a twin demand for structured products and emerging markets, launching capital-protected vehicles linked to the region's indices. Lehman Brothers is offering a product giving exposure to the growth potential of the Bric economies. The Enhanced Emerging Markets Plan has two return profiles. Investors can choose to receive 110% of the rise in the S&P BRIC 40 index after three and a half years, up to a maximum of 32%, or 130% of the growth after five years, to a maximum of 60%.
