Schroders is expanding its commodities fund range with the launch of a closed-ended Agricultural Land vehicle. Subject to regulatory approval, the investment trust will launch in September. It will invest on a global basis in private equity funds and other unlisted vehicles as well as agricultural land related equities and commodities. Robin Stoakley, managing director at Schroders, said the group has already been testing private client and overseas investor demand and received a favourable response.
