Martin Currie plans to launch a mirror of its North American oeic. The ninth sub-fund in the firm’s $1.3bn Luxembourg sicav range will go live on 9 June. Martin Currie is launching this new fund in response to demand from investors outside the UK who prefer the structure of a sicav. The fund will be run by Tom Walker and David Forsyth using the same objective and process as Martin Currie’s £250m North American oeic. “Despite the current volatility and uncertain outlook, North America is a great market for stockpickers - there are companies continuing to perform well,” Walker said.
