Skandia Investment Group (SIG) is considering launching retail versions of the Skandia UK Index portfolio and Skandia Gilt fund. If the launches go ahead, the two portfolios will be available from Skandia's UK platform business, Selestia Investment Solutions. Barclays Global Investors (BGI) has managed the Skandia UK Index fund since 2004 while BlackRock's Panayotis Ferendinos has been running the Skandia Gilt portfolio since 2002.
