Pearl plans to operate the recently-acquired Resolution Asset Management (RAM) as a "sepatately capitalised business". The life insurer, which bought Resolution last month following a three-way bidding war, backed the RAM and said it is committed to targeting institutional and retail clients. It is expected the group will combine RAM with its own in-house investment manager Axial Investment Management.
