Old Mutual has appointed Stewart Cowley as head of fixed interest and macro. Cowley is currently at Newton and manager of the Newton International Bond and BNY Mellon Global Bond funds and will join OMAM in the first half of 2009. Newton has confirmed Paul Brain will replace Cowley when he departs the firm following the restructure of its fixed income investment resources.
