F&C Asset Management has appointed Lazard and Lexicon Partners to help decide on its future. F&C chief executive Alain Grisay said the group had excellent prospects as a standalone company, but is reviewing all options after Friends Provident said it aimed to sell its 52% majority stake in the UK manager. He said the firm is considering a sale or remaining independent through a management buyout of Friends Provident.
