M&G has handed management of its £227m European Corporate Bond fund to Stefan Isaacs.
Jim Leaviss, the head of group’s retail fixed interest team, has managed the fund since its launch in 2003. Leaviss will retain his other mandates, which include the M&G Gilt and Fixed Interest Income Fund and the M&G High Interest Fund.
The group said Isaacs’ appointment was part of M&G's ongoing programme of nurturing and developing in-house talent.
Meanwhile, the group announced that Max Godwin will become co-manager of the £41m M&G Japan Smaller Companies Fund, working with current manager Dean Cashman.
The pair will be based at Prudential Asset Management in Hong Kong. Godwin joins Prudential from Pi Investments where he was a co-portfolio manager and senior analyst.
