Barings is adding two further China funds to its range following over $7bn of inflows into its Hong Kong China vehicle in 2007. The UK-domiciled China Growth launch and its offshore mirror will enable investors to access smaller companies in the market. It will also ease pressure on the group to soft-close the offshore $8.2bn Hong Kong China vehicle. Subject to regulatory approval, Baring China Growth the offshore China Select Growth are scheduled for a May launch. Both will be headed up by William Fong and Agnes Deng, who run the larger vehicle.
