Barings is the latest group to launch a fund that plays on the demand for agricultural commodities. The Baring Global Agriculture fund will be launched in the third quarter and managed by Jonathan Blake. It will invest in companies right across the food chain spectrum from fertiliser and agrichemical suppliers to farming infrastructure companies and processors and retailers.
