Franklin Templeton has received approval from the CSSF for its Luxembourg-domiciled MENA Sicav to open today. A sterling-priced, distributor status share class for UK investors will launch within a few weeks. The fund is managed by Franklin’s local asset management group MD and international CIO Stephen Dover, with Dubai-based Algebra Capital acting as sub-adviser. It will seek to achieve long-term capital growth and value by investing in a concentrated portfolio of 40 to 60 stocks, with the option of financial derivative overlay if required, to take it into other areas.
