Polar Capital has bolstered its hedge fund sales team with the appointment of Alastair Smith. The hire is intended to further develop the firm’s US and Swiss business. Smith joins from Société Générale Asset Management where he was head of Europe and Middle East hedge fund sales. He has previously worked for Aspect Capital, GAM and Man Group.
