Phil Wagstaff is leaving New Star to join Gartmore as global head of distribution. He will have responsibility for distribution of retail, institutional and alternative products in the UK, Europe, Japan and the US, as well as marketing, client service and product development. Wagstaff joined New Star in September 2005 as managing director, UK retail sales and marketing. New Star MD Mark Skinner will cover his role in the interim.
