Schroders' Richard Buxton is expressing concern over the fiscal stimulus package announced in the pre-Budget report. The group's head of equities says the £20bn injection into the economy could have negative consequences over the long term. He says: "Given the speed of the deterioration in economic activity worldwide it can be argued it is better to apply as much policy stimulus as possible at this stage (fiscal and monetary) and seek to withdraw the stimulus as conditions improve.
