Standard Life Investments has reported record first-half year profits as both retail and institutional fund sales soar. Profit before tax was up 43% to £40m compared to £28m in the first half of last year. Worldwide investment sales stood at £5.6bn, up 59% on last year. Institutional and retail fund sales grew by 40% and 63% respectively. Total funds under management now stands at £140.6bn.
