Standard Life Investments has won a £340m mandate to run an active UK corporate bond portfolio for Rentokil’s Initial Pension Trust. SLI’s investment director of bonds, Craig MacDonald, will be responsible for managing the portfolio which aims to outperform the iBoxx Sterling Non-Government index. The group has won several pension mandates recently, including £300m for the Pensions Trust and £95m for the London Borough of Redbridge, and now manages £50bn in fixed interest around the world.
