Pearl has branded F&C’s track record as ‘questionable’ as it attempts to scupper the asset manager’s proposed merger with Resolution AM. In a statement regarding the possible cash offer for Resolution plc, Pearl said the proposed combination of Resolution Asset Management and F&C is unlikely to create significant value. “F&C’s track record of integrating businesses to create value is poor,” the statement said. “ Following the merger of ISIS and F&C, the market value of F&C has declined by approximately 5.4% since its re-listing on September 10, 2004, compared to an increase of around 1...
