Markit has confirmed it will implement changes to its iBoxx bond pricing system from 29 December 2008. As reported by Investment Week on 15 December, the company had accepted the system was not working in the current illiquid and volatile market. The Markit iBoxx EUR and Sterling cash bond indices are calculated daily using price contributions from 10 banks that are consolidated by Markit using filters and consolidation algorithms.
