HSBC Investments has reopened its $2.7bn GIF Bric Freestyle fund to investors. The vehicle was temporarily closed to new investment in July last year. According to Christian Deseglise, global head of emerging markets business at the firm, the markets in which this fund invests have grown in size and liquidity over the last eight months. “This has increased capacity to a level where it is now appropriate to re-open the fund,” he said.
