Gartmore's Chris Palmer has been repositioning his £235m Emerging Markets Opportunities fund in line with a more risk averse investment strategy. The manager said: "Our strategy is to move our portfolios towards a more conservative stance, favouring companies with attractive cash flows, modest growth plans, and relatively low debt burden. "Cyclicality is slowly being replaced with 'predictability' across all our portfolios and analysts are being guided towards those companies that have demonstrated an ability to prosper in tough times in the past."
