Rupert Della-Porta has left F&C after the group closed its US equity desk. His departure follows the firm’s decision to change the process for its US large cap offerings to quant based. Della-Porta left F&C at the end of December to take up a position at Atlantic Equities as chief investment officer. He previously ran F&C’s £215m North American portfolio. The former head of US equities joined F&C after leaving the same role at Aberdeen Asset Management in September 2002.
