HSBC Investments will launch two emerging market debt funds this month. The HSBC Global Emerging Markets Local Debt and the HSBC New World Income funds will be managed by Peter Marber and the group’s investment arm Halbis. Both products are part of the HSBC’s Luxembourg-based Global Investment Funds Sicav. Institutional and retail share classes are available. The HSBC GEM Local Debt fund aims to outperform major local market benchmarks by 3% per annum. It uses flexibilities permissible under Ucits III and invests primarily in emerging market sovereign and corporate debt that is denomi...
