Standard Life Investments has made its first foray into the Asia Pacific property market with a AU$47m direct investment in Perth, Australia. The £1.5bn SLI Select Property fund has bought 55 St George’s Terrace, a ten-storey office and retail block located in Perth’s central business district. Andrew Jackson, manager of the Select Property fund, said: “As a company, we have direct investments in more than 500 properties across Europe and a growing capability in North America.
