Chris Kinder, manager of the £2.3bn Threadneedle UK fund, speaks to Tom Eckett about negative sentiment towards the UK, the big market risks to look out for and his top stock pick of 2018.

Chris Kinder joined Columbia Threadneedle Investments from RWC Partners in 2010 as a portfolio manager in the UK equities team.  Along with the Threadneedle UK fund, he runs the £115m UK Extended Alpha fund and co-manages the £690m UK Absolute Alpha fund with Mark Westwood.   According to FE, the Threadneedle UK fund has returned 33.4% since Kinder took over on 11 September 2014 versus 29.3% for the IA UK All Companies sector and 26.8% for the FTSE All Share, as at 5 February 2018.
