All-out stockpicking gives Lees the edge in UK space

Peter Lees has boosted the performance of the F&C UK equity fund since taking over in April 2009.

Lees has applied his strict bottom-up process, which he has developed in the institutional space, to bring the fund into to the top 10 best performing over the past three months. It is eighth out of 304 funds in the UK All Companies sector over this timeframe, returning 14.1%, according to Morningstar. Over three years it was 64th out of 282 funds.
