Research from the ABI shows 36% of working women are not saving anything for their retirement. The ABI says the pay gap between men and women accounts for much of the difference in retirement wealth, although other spending priorities and the complexity of the pensions system are also to blame. It has called for pensions to be integrated with Isa savings and tax rewards to be awarded to employers that help staff to save.
