I am becoming concerned about the sale and promotion of fixed interest funds in the UK. We recently put a word of caution out internally at Hargreaves Lansdown because the high yield (junk) end of the market has performed very successfully. There is also likely to be a groundswell of opinion that investors should be buying fixed interest Isas which are not disadvantaged by the loss of tax credit, in preference to equity income Isas.
