Real estate investment trusts (Reits) have finally launched in the UK with nine property companies already having changed to this structure, and predictions of at least another five converting over the first quarter of this year. While this is an important development, it is not expected to have an immediate impact, but in the months and years to come investors will be able to gain exposure to Reits through an increasing number of channels.
