Ex F&C pair Makis Kaketsis and Luke Newman to head up European Special Situations portfolio at Altima Partners with focus on undervalued firms

Makis Kaketsis and Luke Newman have joined specialist global situations hedge fund boutique Altima Partners after their departure from F&C Asset Management in November. The pair, who launched one of the first UK equity 130/30 products last August, will run a pan-European Special Situations fund at the firm founded by their former DWS colleague Mark Donegan.
