Almost half of all investors find it difficult to compare financial companies and advisers while about the same number do not even attempt to do so before buying a product, according to FSA research. Furthermore, more than two- thirds of consumers believe financial companies and advisers should inform clients of how much they make from the sale of a product, with 52% saying this should be divulged at the start of the sales process.
